The Etz Hayyim Synagogue is a synagogue located in the old town of Chania, the only surviving synagogue in Crete. It is situated in the Jewish quarter, on a side street off Kondylaki Street. It was built in the 17th century, suffered severe damage during World War II, and was restored between 1997 and 1999. Since its restoration, it has served as a place of prayer, remembrance, reflection, and reconciliation.
