The Waterfalls of Edessa are a natural phenomenon that was created following a powerful earthquake that struck the surrounding area in the 14th century, during which time several changes in their morphology have occurred due to smaller-scale earthquakes. The main source of these waterfalls is the Agra-Nisio Wetland, from which flows the main river, the Edessaios, whose branches constitute the waterfalls. Additionally, the Geopark of the Waterfalls extends over an area of more than 100,000 square meters and along a trail on the rock for 1.1 km.
