Ermones Beach is a secluded, verdant cove on the west coast of Corfu, where the lush green hills of the island tumble dramatically down to meet a calm, sheltered sea. The beach is steeped in mythology, traditionally identified as the spot where the shipwrecked Odysseus was discovered by the Phaeacian princess Nausicaa, as recounted in Homer's Odyssey. Its striking natural setting, framed by forested cliffs and fed by a small river, makes it one of the most scenically distinctive beaches on the island.
